massierende hände 7Tired?

Spring has finally arrived and most of us are ready to stop hibernating and welcome back the warmth and energy this time of year brings with it. We are yet again ready to involve ourselves in life to our full potential.

Or are we?

Many people still seem to feel tired a lot of the time. This is something many of us can relate to, whether that is every day, towards the end of the working week or at some stage in our lives. It can be pretty difficult to keep on top of everything that life throws at us when we feel lethargic. Works often seems ‘too much’ and our relationships tend to suffer as we often cannot be bothered to give it our all, as we’re not feeling great ourselves.

But Why?

Is this all as a result of things happening to us that are out of our control or do we have something to do with our lack of energy? Is it possible that being tired is a result of choices we ourselves have made day to day?

When we just push on regardless without listening to our bodies, burn the candles at both ends and don’t give our bodies the nurturing and rest they really do need, we’re setting things up to be more difficult for ourselves the next day – and perhaps for weeks to come.

So what can we do to change this?

We can get a massage to support our tired and stressed body and this is indeed a great support. Massage has many physical and mental and emotional benefits including:

  • Reducing Muscle Tension
  • Improving Circulation
  • Reduction of Stress Hormones
  • Increased mobility
  • Reduced anxiety and depression
  • Heightened mental alertness
  • And much, much more

Even better is to use the massage as support for real change we are instigating in our own lives. True change always starts with the body itself and the way we listen to and treat it.
